Fall Family Fun

This is Angi, Dave & thier adorable and energetic son Alex! Alex certainly kept all of us on our toes! Ü

Angi and I met through the Biz Builders Networking group that we belong to. And I am so glad we did. I had so much fun photographing her family.

We met for photographs early on a cold, foggy October morning. (mornings are always better for little ones who take naps.) Can you tell it was cold outside? It is hard to tell, they were all such troopers and we had so much fun!

Thanks to Angi I am still mispelling my name occassionally! Ü I tell you... it is hard to intentionally spell your own name wrong! Ü

Angi & Dave, I thank you again for a very fun session. I can't wait photograph your family again!

Gregg

This is Gregg. He is graduating this year and is looking forward to joining the Air Force and to eventually becoming a police officer.

In his spare time Gregg likes to Skateboard, play the guitar, play rugby and hang out with Emily.

I asked Gregg to tell me something that not many people know and he said that he loves the cold. In that case, I ordered up some snow for you for the next week! ;)

A couple other random things about Gregg: his favorite comedian is Dane Cook and he loves Disney Movies.

Gregg is really easy going and fun to be around. I had fun photographing you! I wish you all the best this year and next as you head off into the world!

How quickly time passes...

Another 3 weeks and I am finally back to blogging. I swear it has been on my to do list every day for the last 3 weeks. It's just one of those things that gets pushed to last on the list... there is just so much to do this time of year!

This is Emily. She is graduating this year! Woo Hoo!!!

Her favorite band is Van Halen. Sprite is her fave drink. Her BFF's are Heather and Jacquelyn.

Emily plans to go to Pierce College and wants to be a Veterinarian when she “grows up”? In her words: For right now I'm going with a vet tech, still get to work with animals but I don't get to be the doctor....not yet at least!

Emily's perfect weekend involves hanging out in bed with a good book.

What Emily wants the world to know about her: I am a big animal lover and I love to help out people in any way I can.

Emily... you were so much fun to work with! I wish you the best of luck this year and in college next year! You will have to come visit me... I live right near Pierce college! Ü

Forgive me bloggers for I have sinned... it has been 18 days since my last post...

Ü I have returned... from the certain death that inhabited my body! I had some sort of bug that hit me and kept me down for about 3 weeks. Totally drained me of energy... but I am back! Ü

Did you miss me? Heck, I missed me!

I have a totally different type of post today...

This is from a recent boudoir session. Cori and I had so much fun, I photographed for way longer than our session should have been! She had so many ideas and so did I. I wish I could show you all of the absolutely amazing images we created! Cori is so spunky, hilarious and beautiful. She just recently started her own business designing invitations... you go girl! I wish you all the luck in the world!

These are the two that were approved by Cori for sharing.

Enjoy!

Bold, Beautiful, Boudoir... The memories are amazing and your significant other will absolutely adore the photographs we create together! Who's Next?

RePost

So, I know I already posted this image from our day at Fort Steilacoom Park, but I made a few changes....I changed the size of the overall image and the crop... and the coloring so it was brighter. Just wanted to show you how I decided I would order it.

I am also posting this for the mommies of these cute kids to see.

Hope you are having a fantastic Wednesday!

Kaelyn

This is Kaelyn and she is graduating this year! She is so much fun. We had her session a few weeks ago and she invited her two awesome friends Caylin and Hallie. They were also a joy to photograph and it was so much fun to catch thier personalities and sassy poses! (I will share photos of all 3 of them soon - hopefully, just waiting for a release form- No pressure Caylin! LOL!)

Kaelyn is on the school volleyball team, so it took us a while to coordinate schedules for her to see her photos. When she came to preview them she was so funny... she said "I'm nervous to see them". How could you be nervous to see your photos when you are so stinkin cute? Ü

Kaelyn, I had so much fun photographing you. Enjoy your Senior year, it goes by so fast!

Sleepy Girl

This is Gianna... her mommy (Kristy) and I attend a networking group together and Kristy is also my accountability partner. Mommy and I had big plans for photographs full of smiles... unfortunately Gianna didn't get the memo.

Poor girl missed her nap, fell asleep in the car on the way to the photo shoot and then we had to wake her up. Can't blame her for not bringing her "A game".

I dare you to try waking me up and getting me to pose for photographs... yeah, don't think I would be too happy either!

Even though Gianna was full of 2 year old attitude, I think we captured some awesome images. Here are just a couple. Mom and I have been working hard to coordinate our schedules and haven't met up yet, so this is a sneak peek! Enjoy Kristy!

Kaidyn - 9 months already!!!

How can she be 9 months old already? Seriously. This year is going by way too fast. She is just such a precious baby!!!

Kaidyn is sitting well on her own... we had a boppy involved for that just in case... but she is getting so big! Not crawling quite yet... I look forward to our next session where that will be our new adventure to photograph.

Recently Kaidyn got her two lower teeth. I just love the grin with just a couple of teeth popped in there! Ü

How lucky I am to get to spend time with such precious babies!

Fun at the park

This is a session that I photographed early in September for the families at my Chiropractor's office. I am going to be hanging this photo along with a few others in the office to advertise. I'd love to know your thoughts! Ü

Thanks,

Jake is 3!

WOW! Jake is another year older! Hard to believe. Jake was one of my first clients last year when I was starting my business.... and one of the cutest! Ü

Jake is definitely a charmer! He LOVES fire trucks... I don't think I would be exaggerating to say he received more fire trucks than any other type of toy for his birthday!

Bob the builder graced his cake (cupcake cake... which is like the most genius invention ever!) and he had the most adorable look of glee on his face when he blew out the candles.

I sure had a fun day photographing Jakob and all of his friends.

Girly Girl

Last night I got together with 2 other very talented photographer friends of mine (Tami and Celeste) for a girly girl shoot. There was supposed to be two little girls, but the other one's mommy thought the weather wasn't good enough... but thankfully the weather was nearly perfect! Anyway, Miss Annabelle did a great job as our only model. Poor thing suffered an allergic reaction to the flowers in the field. What women will do for beauty! Ü

This shoot was just for fun and I definitely had fun with it. Now I better get back to work! Ü
Thanks for all your comments!

6 months old already

It is amazing how quickly time passes... little babies grow too fast all the while reminding us how quickly time is passing.

How can she be 6 months already? And in fact at this point... she is 7 months old.

Sam is such a sweetie. Her laugh is contagious. Her favorite song is 6 little ducks went out to play... and I am learning it because as soon as you start to sing... she looks right at you and smiles! Precious! I was very impressed that she was already sitting on her own.
Enjoy your beautiful rainy Washington day! To those of you actually enjoying SUMMER weather... :-P

- Christopher -

This is Christopher... Although later I was told he goes by Chris... and then later his sister said, just call him Topher... or you could just call him GRAD.

Chris graduated this year from Emerald Ridge. This next year he will be attending Ecola Bible College in Cannon Beach Oregon. He hasn't decided what he will do after college yet, he says "Im staying open to Gods plans for my life."

I asked Chris "what are the two things you would take with you to a deserted island?" and he said his surfboard and Yamaha YZF 250.

If Chris had an hour to burn you would find him riding his dirt bike.

Congratulations Christopher! You did it... and now you have a brand new adventure ahead of you. Even though you didn't want to have your photograph taken, I appreciate you giving it the old "college try" - pun intended - I am so pleased with how these turned out and I hope you are too.

Oh and I got a little crazy with these (figured the skateboard and the surfboard needed some coolness added to the borders of the photos). Let me know what you think everyone!!! Too much? Cool?

A beautiful Sunset

Once again... I found another beautiful photograph while cleaning out my folders. This was in April I believe. Steve and I were out to dinner on South Hill in Puyallup and I stepped outside and saw this amazing sunset! Wow... we live in such a beautiful area.

Sweet Sixteen

This is Sassy, Sweet, Sixteen year old Nicole...

Nicole will be a junior this year and has lived in Puyallup her whole life.

When Nicole "Grows Up" she plans on becoming a teacher or a nurse.

Second hand serenade is her favorite band.

Nicole quite possibly texts faster than anyone I know... although her mom is a close second! Ü

I love Nicole's attitude... she is so fun and sassy... and although I am sure her mother doesn't love it... it cracks me up that when she is frustrated with her mom... she calls her Shelley!
Happy Monday!

Two posts are better than one!

Organizing really is a good thing! Two posts in one night... I will have to make this one short. My cat (Monte) (See Cone of Shame post a few months ago Ü) is asking very politely that I come to bed. He is such a cute cat. One of the best I have owned. He gets impatient when it is "bed time" and he meows at us until we come to bed.

Anyway... what I really meant to blog about...

More organizing lead me to find these Rhodie photos. I LOVE Rhodies when they are in bloom. They are so beautiful. One April morning I was working in my office and looked out my window (past the fake flowers (that are STILL there in July)) and saw the beautiful sunlight dancing on the flowers. That morning was so gorgeous. One of our first awesome days during such a long spring. The bees were buzzing around and I actually caught one of them in the flower. The morning was crisp, but the sun was warm on my face.

It's amazing what a couple of photographs can do. I am sitting here vividly recalling the morning. How I followed the bee from flower to flower to get that great shot. How vividly green the grass was. The fact that I was wearing my slippers. The fact that I walked my husband out to his car to give him a kiss goodbye... It is SO wonderful how 4 simple Rhodie photographs just brought tears to my eyes... made me remember a simple moment... a moment that I was so calm, so happy, so in tune with my camera and my passion and my love for my husband. WOW.... photography is so AMAZING.
I know I have said it before, and I will say it again... Thank you to every one of you who believes in me... who supports me... who inspires me... and especially to those who trusts me to capture the essence of their family through photography. You will never know how much it means to me to see your face light up when you see an image I created of your family. I truly love what I do. It fuels me. It makes me a better person. Thank you to each and every one of you.
With a heart full of happiness,
Angie D.

Where's Waldo???

First of all... I must apologize... 10 days between posts... that is just not acceptable. I'd fire myself, but then nothing would get done! Ü

I was just going through folders trying to get caught up on organizing photo files... blah blah blah... and I found these photos I took a couple months ago.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw something scurry... and it was this cute little possum. Now normally I don't think possums are cute... but this furry little baby one was KIND OF cute. I must admit that I was scared to death that at any moment his not so cute mother was going to come around the corner of my house and attack me... thankfully she never appeared... although that made me think, what if this poor baby is all on his own? :(

I hope that today finds you well. I hope you are enjoying your summer. And I wish for you a moment to sneak away and find some you time... just like Waldo did! Ü

Hottie McHotterson

On July 2nd I joined forces with several fantastic photographers to capture some awesome images! Willow found two models and hired a makeup artist, the models got ready at her studio, we took a few photographs there and then drove to Fort Steilacoom Park where we photographed and laughed and had a good time.

I am only featuring one of the two models today... I haven't had a chance to edit the photographs from the other model.

This is Michelli... Isn't she beautiful! Those eyes... captivating!

In the few hours I got to spend with her I learned:
She has a beautiful laugh
She doesn't like her smile
If you tell her to think about her boyfriend, you can get the most gorgeous smile from her
She owns her own business
She's a lot of fun

I hope I have the opportunity to visit with her again. I had such an awesome time during this photo shoot!

Hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather we are having!
