My "baby" niece is 3!

Here are a few snapshots I took at Kaylin's 3rd birthday. My how she has grown so fast.

Her birthday was at the beginning of May and we got really lucky with the weather. Lucky in as much as the rain held off until all the festivities were done.

Things I love most about Kaylin: her crazy sense of humor (she fits right into this family), her adorable eye rolling manuevers, she calls me happy instead of auntie.

Most memorable Kaylin moment ever: holding her in my arms when she was 2 days old and the bond I felt with her instantly.

What events are coming up in your world? Can I help you by photographing your event?

Talk to you soon,

Angie D.

Lisa & Jackson

This is a sneak peak for Lisa. Today was supposed to be her preview session, but unfortunately I have a cold and decided not to share my germs.... I figured the least I could do is let Mom see a few images ! Ü

I had a great time photographing Lisa and Jackson. Lisa had me out to the house because she is always behind the camera and never has any photographs of herself with her son. It was so much fun to be in Jackson's world for an hour. I actually took over 200 photographs and managed to keep up with this little guy! WHOA!

It is so hard to narrow it down to just a few, but here are a few of him playing with his trains that I think are so precious.

Happy Wednesday,

Marjie & Keith

Marjie & Keith are such a fun couple and are celebrating a new chapter in thier lives. Both of thier children are grown and out of the house... so they figured they should get some new portraits of just the two of them.
Love em! And the photos too! Ü We had a fun time creating a new memory of a new adventure in thier lives!
Thanks for toughing through the hot weather (85 degrees at 10:30am in May in WA.) and for a great day!

Out of the box and into nature...

Here I go again... nature photography. I love some of the shots that I got from this day at Wheyerhauser gardens. And for the most part I actually enjoyed myself. Ü WOW! It was nice that there was so much to see and so many different things to photograph.
The last photograph is actually of a rhodie... doesn't it look like a hibiscus! BEAUTIFUL. It is actually a new hybrid that hasn't even been named yet. Cool!

Which photograph is your favorite?

Corvettes

When I met my husband (12 years ago) he dreamed of someday owning a generation C4 Corvette. Well almost 2 years ago now I told him he'd better get one while the getting was good.

July of last year we flew to CA to the little town of Thousand Oaks (where he attended college) and picked up his corvette which he found on Ebay.

Anyway... long story turning long... we've belonged to a group called Classical Glass Corvette Club ever since. We have made so many new friends through this club. It is awesome!

A few weekends ago (same weekend I took the photographs of the gal on her VW bus) we went to the ocean. On the way out I photographed one of our club member's cars... Oh my goodness... the perfect location for a car photograph!

If you know of anywhere in the local area that looks like this can you please share!?!?! I am looking for a location to photograph club members and thier cars... like this beauty...

Thanks in advance.

If I never see a tulip again...

I have to admit that it takes me a long time to slow down and photograph anything that isn't human. I have been forcing myself to do it more - to appreciate the "things" surrounding me by photographing them.

I don't know if I appreciate Tulips more now or not. I can tell you that I am not a gardener. I don't enjoy my hands in the dirt. I like to appreciate flowers, and I always appreciate when someone else is taking care of them. Ü
Anyway, here are a few of the images that I am pleased with from my day of Tulip Photography on Sunday. I would love some feedback because I feel like I just look at most of these and go, huh... yeah... ok... Tulips alright.

Thanks for reading,

Beach Beauty

This weekend I was at Long Beach with a car club my husband and I belong to. Steve and I were walking on the boardwalk and this gal was down on the beach laying on top of her VW bus - it was adorable.

First thought... I have to photograph this. Second thought... I wish I had my pro camera. Third thought... I'm too far away.

So, being the shy person I am... LOL... I walked up to those gals (to be fair, they did have one guy with them... but he ran for the hills when I mentioned bringing out the camera! Ü) I said, I know this seems kind of weird, but I am a photographer and ... yada yada yada... and shazam... now I have these adorable images! I hope they love them as much as I do.

I loved her cute bandana in her hair, the flip flops in the sand, the peace symbol on the bus, the flower hanging in the window...

Love, Peace, and Happy Memories,

Angie
