The coolest thing ever!
http://ifoundyourcamera.blogspot.com/
So, if you lose your camera or memory card, you can check this website. hopefully someone is honest enough to do this. Spread the word... I have lost film (back in the day) and it was so sad! It was really heartbreaking because it was my senior trip when I graduated from high school.
Anyway, check it out. See if you recognize anyone. And for goodness sake... if you find a camera or memory card... use this site!
How cool is this!

March Wine club - Syrah/Shiraz
March was Syrah/Shiraz. The difference? Technically Shiraz comes from Australia... however some smarties in the industry (I found) actually used Shiraz even though they are from California. Oooh... I am so telling.
What I found: I like Syrah! I liked 4 out of the 6 this month. Well, I guess 4 out of the 7. We cooked one bottle of wine on the stove to taste what a "cooked" bottle tastes like. Cooked is when it is exposed to too much heat during delivery to the store.
The Lineup:
#1 2006 Three Winds Syrah From France $8.49
#2 2005 Delicato Shiraz CA (You are so in trouble!) $4.99
#3 2005 Alexander Valley Vineyards Syrah CA $13.99
#4 2006 Charles Shaw Shiraz CA (Again... oooohhhhh.... since when is CA in Australia?) $2.99
#5 D'Arenberg Footbolt Shiraz Australia (At least these guys can say it and mean it!) $13.69
#6 Coppola Cabernet Sauvignon (Didn't write from where it comes) $13.79
So, I guess really there were only 5 contenders in the Shiraz/Syrah lineup and I liked 4! The only one I didn't like was #3. I really liked the Charles Shaw. 3 buck Chuck to the rescue (You can find this at Trader Joes). Gotta love a great wine at a super price...
Speaking of price... when choosing a wine... price does not always mean better... it just means there is less available or that they have brand recognition and then they think they can charge an arm and a leg.
This month we had pizza... yeah, surprizing... pizza and Syrah go really well together. We had a Pear and Gorgonzola Pizza and a Salami and Black Olive Pizza. Both super tasty and pretty easy to make. Which makes the Kitchenphobic side of me very happy. No burns, cuts or other injuries! I am 3 for 3.... crud... I am actually getting decent in the kitchen. Ok, nobody tell my husband I said that!
I hope someone is getting something out of this! I am enjoying sharing my findings. Let me know if you buy any of the wines I suggest... and let me know if you like any of them!
Happy Sipping!

February Wine Club - Cabernet Sauvignon
First Scientific Finding: Ladies + Wine = Fun.
Ok enough Science... I am gonna break it down. (Listening to 90's music... apparently that affects my lingo)
We tried 7 Cabs:
#1 2005 Milbrandt Vineyards Legacy $25.99
#2 2005 Apex $15.99
#3 2003 Canyon's Edge Winery Reserve $13.99
#4 2005 Amavi $26.99
#5 2005 Charles Shaw $2.99 (Gotta love 3 buck Chuck.... Although I really actually didn't)
#6 2000 Townshend $21.99
#7 2005 Dutch John's Private Reserve $17.99
So, trying to describe my palate... this could be interesting. I started out thinking I was only a sweet white wine girl. But I found out I like expensive Cab. Of course! Actually I know I don't like really dry, kick you in your taste buds wine. Generally I fruit forward, lighter bodied wines. The ones I liked I think were a little more mellow. My faves: #'s 1, 3, and 4.
There you have it - Cab in a nutshell. Oh, and we had basil vanilla ice cream and cucumber feta dip with pita chips. The lesson we learned here is don't eat spicy with Cab. The two recipes we had were fantastic. Ok, now I want to have some, but don't want to make it.
Anyone up for cooking for me?!?!

An email I recieved that spoke to me....
1.) Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate antidepressant.
2.) Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3.) Buy a Tivo (DVR), tape your late night shows and get more sleep.
4.) When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose is to________ today.'
5.) Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
6.) Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did last year.
7.) Always pray and make time to exercise.
8.) Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of Six.
9.) Dream more while you are awake.
10.) Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less foods that are manufactured in
plants.

13.) Clear your clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
14.) Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative
thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment.
15.) Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class... but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
16.) Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
17.) Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.
18.) Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
19.) Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
20.) Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21.) You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22.) Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
23.) Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
24.) Ladies - Go on and burn those 'special' scented candles, use the 600 thread count sheets, the good china and wear our fancy lingerie now. Stop waiting for a special occasion. Everyday is special.
25.) No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26.) Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?'
27.) Forgive everyone for everything.
28.) What other people think of you is none of your business.
29.) Time heals almost everything. Give time, time!
30.) However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
31.) Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch with them.
32.) Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
33.) Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
34.) The best is yet to come.
35.) No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
36.) Do the right thing!
37.) Call your family often.
38.) Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: 'I am thankful for __________.' Today I accomplished _________.
39.) Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
40.) Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney World and you certainly don't want a fast
pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.
LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH. LIFE'S A GIFT ... UNWRAP IT!
