Girly Girl

Last night I got together with 2 other very talented photographer friends of mine (Tami and Celeste) for a girly girl shoot. There was supposed to be two little girls, but the other one's mommy thought the weather wasn't good enough... but thankfully the weather was nearly perfect! Anyway, Miss Annabelle did a great job as our only model. Poor thing suffered an allergic reaction to the flowers in the field. What women will do for beauty! Ü

This shoot was just for fun and I definitely had fun with it. Now I better get back to work! Ü
Thanks for all your comments!

6 months old already

It is amazing how quickly time passes... little babies grow too fast all the while reminding us how quickly time is passing.

How can she be 6 months already? And in fact at this point... she is 7 months old.

Sam is such a sweetie. Her laugh is contagious. Her favorite song is 6 little ducks went out to play... and I am learning it because as soon as you start to sing... she looks right at you and smiles! Precious! I was very impressed that she was already sitting on her own.
Enjoy your beautiful rainy Washington day! To those of you actually enjoying SUMMER weather... :-P

- Christopher -

This is Christopher... Although later I was told he goes by Chris... and then later his sister said, just call him Topher... or you could just call him GRAD.

Chris graduated this year from Emerald Ridge. This next year he will be attending Ecola Bible College in Cannon Beach Oregon. He hasn't decided what he will do after college yet, he says "Im staying open to Gods plans for my life."

I asked Chris "what are the two things you would take with you to a deserted island?" and he said his surfboard and Yamaha YZF 250.

If Chris had an hour to burn you would find him riding his dirt bike.

Congratulations Christopher! You did it... and now you have a brand new adventure ahead of you. Even though you didn't want to have your photograph taken, I appreciate you giving it the old "college try" - pun intended - I am so pleased with how these turned out and I hope you are too.

Oh and I got a little crazy with these (figured the skateboard and the surfboard needed some coolness added to the borders of the photos). Let me know what you think everyone!!! Too much? Cool?

A beautiful Sunset

Once again... I found another beautiful photograph while cleaning out my folders. This was in April I believe. Steve and I were out to dinner on South Hill in Puyallup and I stepped outside and saw this amazing sunset! Wow... we live in such a beautiful area.

Sweet Sixteen

This is Sassy, Sweet, Sixteen year old Nicole...

Nicole will be a junior this year and has lived in Puyallup her whole life.

When Nicole "Grows Up" she plans on becoming a teacher or a nurse.

Second hand serenade is her favorite band.

Nicole quite possibly texts faster than anyone I know... although her mom is a close second! Ü

I love Nicole's attitude... she is so fun and sassy... and although I am sure her mother doesn't love it... it cracks me up that when she is frustrated with her mom... she calls her Shelley!
Happy Monday!

Two posts are better than one!

Organizing really is a good thing! Two posts in one night... I will have to make this one short. My cat (Monte) (See Cone of Shame post a few months ago Ü) is asking very politely that I come to bed. He is such a cute cat. One of the best I have owned. He gets impatient when it is "bed time" and he meows at us until we come to bed.

Anyway... what I really meant to blog about...

More organizing lead me to find these Rhodie photos. I LOVE Rhodies when they are in bloom. They are so beautiful. One April morning I was working in my office and looked out my window (past the fake flowers (that are STILL there in July)) and saw the beautiful sunlight dancing on the flowers. That morning was so gorgeous. One of our first awesome days during such a long spring. The bees were buzzing around and I actually caught one of them in the flower. The morning was crisp, but the sun was warm on my face.

It's amazing what a couple of photographs can do. I am sitting here vividly recalling the morning. How I followed the bee from flower to flower to get that great shot. How vividly green the grass was. The fact that I was wearing my slippers. The fact that I walked my husband out to his car to give him a kiss goodbye... It is SO wonderful how 4 simple Rhodie photographs just brought tears to my eyes... made me remember a simple moment... a moment that I was so calm, so happy, so in tune with my camera and my passion and my love for my husband. WOW.... photography is so AMAZING.
I know I have said it before, and I will say it again... Thank you to every one of you who believes in me... who supports me... who inspires me... and especially to those who trusts me to capture the essence of their family through photography. You will never know how much it means to me to see your face light up when you see an image I created of your family. I truly love what I do. It fuels me. It makes me a better person. Thank you to each and every one of you.
With a heart full of happiness,
Angie D.

Where's Waldo???

First of all... I must apologize... 10 days between posts... that is just not acceptable. I'd fire myself, but then nothing would get done! Ü

I was just going through folders trying to get caught up on organizing photo files... blah blah blah... and I found these photos I took a couple months ago.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw something scurry... and it was this cute little possum. Now normally I don't think possums are cute... but this furry little baby one was KIND OF cute. I must admit that I was scared to death that at any moment his not so cute mother was going to come around the corner of my house and attack me... thankfully she never appeared... although that made me think, what if this poor baby is all on his own? :(

I hope that today finds you well. I hope you are enjoying your summer. And I wish for you a moment to sneak away and find some you time... just like Waldo did! Ü
